P&G To Cut Staff

Move will eliminate 1,600 positions.

Procter & Gamble announced that it will cut 3% or 1,600 non-manufacturing jobs and will place a greater emphasis on digital marketing.

The staff reductions, which will come from a combination of attrition, selective hiring and layoffs, are expected to save the household products company $240 million a year.
